Bizzy Bee’s Bakery has always been the dream. Not always Brenda’s dream, but always a close friend's or relative's dream.
Anytime a friendly face takes a bite out of one of her cookies you can almost guarantee the next words out of their mouth will be, “Oh my gosh, this is so good you should open a bakery.”
And friends, the wait is finally over.
A Word of Appreciation
Some of Brenda’s biggest supporters have of course been her family. Her husband, Jeremiah, who has been the primary cookie sampler since day one and will remain in that title throughout this bakery journey. Her two kids, Emma and Joel who are happy to polish off any cookie dough left over on the whisk and cake batter in the bowl. And her son-in-law Chris, who finally outmatched her in the stubborness department and got things moving on the bakery front.
Of course there are so many others we could name like her brother and the various nieces and nephews but if we named every supporter of Bizzy Bee’s we’d be here for awhile, folks.
What’s most important is that we thank each and everyone of you for making this dream a reality.
The History
Brenda has been providing for her community for as long as most of us have known her. Every birthday, wedding, or baby shower, you can count on her to be there with the goodies.
The longest-standing tradition, inherited from her mother-in-law, has to be her Christmas deliveries. What started as just a cinnamon roll delivery every Christmas Eve turned into something much grander— Cookie tins.
Every Christmas season, Brenda bakes over 80 dozen cookies for her loved ones, most of which are hand delivered Chrtismas Eve. If that doesn’t spell out Christmas spirit, then I don’t know what does.
The mission, should you choose to accept it, is to finally create a local hub for the Spokane community to have easy access to these delicacies.
Bizzy Bee’s Bakery is officially a registered business open for orders— Next up: a storefront.
